May Wedding

At the end of May we went to my friend’s wedding in North Yorkshire, here are a few examples of the lovely food we enjoyed. We started off on Friday night with a bring and share BBQ.

Saturday there were three different wedding cakes after the afternoon tea (and ice creams) and then canapés and drinks. Amazingly lovely canapés. There were hearts of black pudding on skewers served hot with chorizo, sheeps cheese wrapped in ham, smoked salmon blinis and little vol-au-vents. The evening dinner was a really lovely thing- lots of big hams and people designated to be ‘servers’, who carved and shared it out. There were lovely salads and potatoes and bread to go with and then lots of chocolate and fruit tarts (or gluten free brownies) and a selection of wine. Happy Summer food!
