So we had double pancakes for Pancake day. Starting off with pancakes stuffed with a bacon, kale and cheddar cheese sauce and finishing off with pancakes at our friend’s house for pudding. There were a variety of treats on the table and my favourite combination was cherries in syrup, Nutella and banana. Surprisingly nice but then, I also had a lemon and sugar and it is rather hard to beat a classic.

Today we had a mezze style lunch. I’m not saying it was particularly from one place but it was certainly a good collection of lovely food on a plate. We had tuna, rocket and tomato salad with cornichons (I love them- tiny little pickles from France), then there was some sliced turkey and some warm vegetables from last night which I’d grilled/roasted with blue cheese (courgettes, aubergine and tomato.) Topped off with some matzo bread which my husband knocked up!
