Burn’s Night in the Middle East

Tonight we are going to my Mum and Dad’s house to celebrate Burn’s Night, I am cooking. My mother in law is coming, and maybe my father in law. So, as they recently went to Israel, I decided that I would do a Scottish/Middle Eastern menu. Strange mix I know. So we are having humous with pitta bread (maybe made into garlic crisp triangles) then spiced chicken (perhaps ras-el-hanout). This is accompanied by neeps and tatties, quinoa, pomegranate and feta salad and haggis. Followed by short bread (most of which I just broke getting onto the cooling wrack) and rice pudding with rose water, cardamon, honey and pistachios. We can but hope it all works out!
