Last night we had a carol singing party. We crammed lots of people into our middle room with our new stove and sang songs. My mother in law brought a ginger wine and mead punch and we also had mulled apple juice and various other things to drink. I did puffed pastries with blue cheese on top, olives, crisps and little chipolata sausages.
We are thoroughly enjoying having a new stove. It is making the everyday more exciting: warming bread, making scrambled eggs and hot chocolate (my husband consequently has made nutella, chilli and giant American marshmallow flavour.) It also means an ease with which to slowly heat seasonal drinks and that can only be a good thing. The next thing I want to mull is cranberry juice.
